Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
May 18, Deputy Chad Gilbert took a report of a theft of two fiberglass geese, valued at $250, from a residence on Westport Island. Further investigation will follow if any leads develop.
May 12, Brian Main, 28, of Edgecomb was issued a summons for digging without a town license, on Back River Rd., Boothbay, by Deputy Brent Barter.
May 14, Shawn J. McDuff, 18, of Edgecomb was issued a summons for operating ATV to endanger, on Old County Rd., Edgecomb, by Sgt. Daniel Sceviour.
May 13, Eugene Carter, 55, of Bristol, failure to display a valid inspection sticker, on Benner Rd., Bristol, by Dep. Todd Chilton.
May 13, Rowen Barden, 25, of Waldoboro, failure to display a valid inspection sticker and failure to produce evidence of insurance, on Rt. 130, Bristol, by Dep. Todd Chilton.
May 16, Ryan Wing, 25, of Boothbay Harbor, failure to display an inspection sticker and failure to produce evidence of insurance, on River Rd., Edgecomb, by Dep. Henry Grenier.
May 16, Casey Main, 26, of Wiscasset, failure to display an inspection sticker, on Rt. 1, Edgecomb, by Dep. Henry Grenier.
May 16, Shannon Main, 24, of Whitefield, speeding, 57 mph in a posted 40 mph speed zone, on Rt. 27, Edgecomb, by Dep. Henry Grenier.
May 16, Wayne Rideout, 36, of Randolph, speeding, 75 mph in a posted 55 mph speed zone, on Rt. 27, Wiscasset, by Dep. Todd Chilton.
May 15, Jade Robbins, 19, of Bristol was arrested on a warrant out of Lincoln County for unpaid fines, on Split Rock Rd., Bristol, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.
May 15, Kurt Brackett, 20, of Newcastle was arrested for violating condition of release and minor transporting liquor, on Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay, by Sgt. Jason Nein.
May 16, Nikki Conant, 23, of Westport was arrested for domestic criminal mischief, on Edwin Drive, Westport, by Deputy Todd Chilton.
May 16, Paula J. Benner, 46, of Washington was arrested for operating under the influence, on Bunker Hill Rd., Newcastle, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
May 16, Wayne A. Curtis, 50, of Bristol was arrested for violating condition of release, on Atwood Lane, Bristol, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
May 17, Nichole D. Holstrom, 27, of Bremen was arrested for failure to pay fines or fee and operating while license is suspended or revoked, on Winslow Mills Rd., Waldoboro, by Deputy Matthew Day.
May 18, Tamara E. Page, 45, of Boothbay was arrested for violating condition of release, on Ice Pond Rd., Boothbay, by Deputy Todd Chilton.
On May 14, an accident occurred on McKay Rd. in Edgecomb involving Dylan H. Brandt, 17, of Boothbay Harbor. Brandt was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed. As he entered a sharp right curve, he left the roadway on the southbound shoulder, drove over an embankment, rotated clockwise and returned to the southbound travel lane where his vehicle came to rest facing north. Brandt’s 1990 BMW sustained an estimated $4000 in damage. Sgt. Jason Nein was the investigating officer.
On May 15, an accident occurred on North Newcastle Rd. in Newcastle involving Carrie A. Burnham, 31, of Newcastle. Burnham was traveling west when she lost control of her vehicle, drove off the roadway and over a ditch. Her vehicle came to rest on a front lawn. Burnham’s 2002 Saturn sustained an estimated $6000 in damage. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On May 18, an accident occurred in the parking lot of Hodgdon Yachts involving Jonathan Hoff, 40, of Hanover and Larry Aiken, 51, of Rockland. Hoff’s vehicle was parked in the parking lot when Aiken, driving around the lot, struck Hoff’s vehicle. Hoff’s 1997 Subaru sustained an estimated $1500 in damage and Aiken’s 2005 International Harvester five axle semi-truck sustained no damage. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
