Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Nov. 2, a 17-year-old male juvenile from Jefferson was issued a summons for possession of alcohol by a minor, by Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore on behalf of Deputy Kenneth Hatch.
Oct. 28, Nathan A. Peaslee, 25, of Dresden, was arrested for violation of a protection order, unlawful possession of scheduled drug, and possession of marijuana, on James Eddy Road, Dresden, by Reserve Deputy Simon Yorks and Deputy Aaron Beck.
Oct. 31, James A. Burk, 44, of Jefferson, was arrested for domestic violence assault and probation violation, on Old Mill Road, Jefferson, by Deputy 1st Class Mark Bridgham.
Nov. 1, James A. Burk, 44, of Jefferson, was arrested for aggravated domestic assault, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Mitkus.
Nov. 1, Colleen K. Walker, 34, of Belgrade, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell.
On Oct. 27, an accident occurred on Route 129 in Bristol involving David J. Gallagher, 40, of Damariscotta, and Scott L. Morello, 31, of Beals. Morello stopped his 2016 Subaru Outback in the northbound travel lane, in traffic. Gallagher was operating his 1995 Ford garbage truck northbound, approaching Morello’s vehicle, and did not see Morello’s vehicle stopped. Gallagher attempted to stop his vehicle by braking, however, he struck Morello’s vehicle in the rear. Sgt. Jason Nein was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 28, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving David E. Pelletier, 57, of Jefferson. Pelletier was operating his 2005 Toyota Corolla southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and struck the front of his vehicle. Deputy Hatch was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 28, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Christopher D. Bayrd, 22, of Brunswick. Bayrd was operating his 2012 Toyota Prius on Lower Round Pond Road when he failed to stop at the intersection, although the stop sign was clearly visible. Bayrd stated he did not know the roadway and, as a result, he drove through the intersection and hit a concrete birdbath on the opposite side of Route 130. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 30, an accident occurred on Route 27 in Edgecomb involving Zachery D. Gilbert, 20, of Newcastle, and David C. Simpson, 43, of Scarborough. Both vehicles were traveling northbound on Route 27 when Mr. Simpson slowed his 2000 Nissan Maxima in traffic, preparing to enter west onto Eddy Road. Gilbert failed to observe Mr. Simpson slowing in traffic and, as a result, Gilbert’s 2007 International Harvester/Navistar struck Simpson’s vehicle. After impact, Gilbert’s vehicle pushed Simpson’s vehicle northbound a short distance before it spun sideways and entered the southbound lane traveling west. Mr. Simpson’s vehicle continued traveling westbound until it entered the southbound shoulder at the intersection with Eddy Road and struck a utility pole. Lt. Rand Maker was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 30, an accident occurred on West Alna Road in Alna involving Helen M. Sleeper, 55, of Alna. Sleeper was operating her 2014 GMC southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the left side and collided with her vehicle. Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner was the investigating officer.
