Tomorrow, June 26, the Maine Games kicks off with their State Cross Country Championships at Medomak Valley High School. This meet is 3.2 miles and is being held on the brand new Medomak Valley Nature Trail behind the high school.
In addition, the Medomak Mile is being offered for kids under 14. A new “Renegade” Wheelchair division is being offered, and several of these all-terrain wheelchairs will be put to the test on the course starting at 8:30 a.m. The cross country meet starts at 9 a.m. and the Medomak Mile begins at 10 a.m. Registration at the venue will begin at 8 a.m.
George Gould, cross country and track and field coach at Medomak Valley High School, is the event commissioner and meet director.
