In order to make medical care more accessible to the local community, the providers and staff at Sheepscot Valley Health Center (SVHC) in Coopers Mills are pleased to announce walk-in hours are now available.
From 8-9 a.m., Mon.-Fri., established SVHC patients may be seen for acute medical needs without an appointment. Acute medical needs include earaches, sore throats, severe coughing, colds, urinary infections, and sudden rashes.
Walk-in hours will then expand to Saturdays beginning March 23. The practice will continue to be open for appointments on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We don’t want anyone to have to wait if they require medical care,” SVHC’s Dr. Roy Miller said. “If a patient wakes up not feeling well, we want them to be able to come right in and get back on a path to feeling better.”
Out of respect to other patients who may need care during walk-in hours, visits are limited to one issue per patient on a first-come, first-served basis.
For more information or to make an appointment please call SVHC at 549-7581.
Located on 47 Main Street in Coopers Mills, SVHC is also open for weekday appointments from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Tuesday hours available until 6 p.m. On call emergency coverage remains available 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
