The Boothbay Region High School was briefly evacuated Friday morning after officials received a report of a bomb threat.
According to SAU 49 Superintendent Eileen King, a teacher discovered the threat written on a boys’ bathroom wall Friday morning. Students were evacuated to the Boothbay Elementary School gymnasium while firefighters and police officers worked to clear the building.
The all clear was sounded around 1:20 p.m., King said, after which the students returned to class.
Boothbay Harbor Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene supported by the Southport and Boothbay Fire Departments and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
