Central Maine Power Co. (CMP) will focus all of its efforts on restoring the remaining outages in the Midcoast communities by this evening.
According to the CMP website (cmpco.com) at 6:30 a.m., 95 roads remain without power, which could equal up to 900 homes in Lincoln County. This is down considerably from Wednesday afternoon. Progress was strong overnight.
The EMA encourages citizens to contact their communities for assistance.
Lincoln County emergency responders have been hard at work doing welfare checks, providing fire departments as warming shelters, and assisting in the recovery of this storm.
In the past few days numerous calls have come through the EMA office and immediate response has been made to the requests for help. It is important that citizens report concern immediately.
The Lincoln County Animal Shelter in conjunction with the Lincoln County Animal Response Team will accept animals in an effort to allow their owners to find a warm shelter and know that their animals are safe as well.
Central Lincoln County YMCA in Damariscotta continues to offer showers, for a small donation.
CMP has more than 1000 frontline workers in the field since Tuesday. The storm that passed through Maine on Monday left more than 130,000 customer accounts without power at the peak.
