According to Dept. of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland, State Police say there is no indication of foul play at this point in the investigation into the death of 37-year-old Jeffrey Stone.
Stone’s body was found outside of his brother’s home on Goshen Road in Waldoboro around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
An autopsy by the State Medical Examiner’s Office Jan. 6 will await the results of toxicology tests before finalizing a cause of death. The results of that testing is likely to take several weeks, McCausland said.
State Police detectives will continue to work with Waldoboro Police investigating the death. No details about the cause of death or circumstances surrounding it are available at this time, McCausland said.
