The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Special Weather Statement warning of the possibility for freezing rain and icy roads to affect Lincoln County through Wednesday afternoon.
Radar images monitored at the time of this posting on intellicast.com indicated that freezing rain or a wintry mix had overspread all of Lincoln County.
Temperatures are forecast to rise above freezing by 3 p.m., which should cause the freezing to changeover to rain, and hopefully wash the roads clear of icy patches. There is no end time on the Special Weather Statement.
Precipitation is forecast to move out of the area in the early evening hours, according to forecasters.
