Mr. and Mrs. Mark Stephen Prior of Bristol are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tracy Jean Prior to Matthew Craig Garner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Craig Garner of Reidsville, N.C.
Prior is the granddaughter of Aubrey O. Waltz and the late Carolyn Waltz of Newcastle and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey L. Griffin of Bristol. Garner is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin W. Snead of Reidsville and Evelyn S. Garner and the late David C. Garner of High Point, N.C.
Tracy Prior is a graduate of Lincoln Academy and Elon University where she received her B.A. in psychology. She is currently a drug treatment court counselor for Alcohol and Drug Services in Greensboro, N.C.
Matthew Garner graduated from Reidsville High School and Elon University where he received his B.S. in business management. He is currently a logistics consultant for C.H. Robinson Worldwide in Winston Salem, N.C.
The couple plans to wed in Bermuda in September.
