A 22-year old Bremen native, Christiana Melusine Fesmire, was reported missing from her Lewiston residence last month, leaving friends and family saddened and bewildered by her disappearance.
“We’re devastated. This is unlike her,” said Fesmire’s mother, Deborah Fesmire.
According to Deborah Fesmire, friends last saw Christiana on July 1. She had been living with friends, a married couple with two children, at their Brown Street residence in Lewiston for the past month and a half. Her last permanent address was an apartment at 36 Highland Ave. in Lewiston, which had been cleared out prior to her disappearance.
The husband was at work and the wife was at a store when Christiana is thought to have gone missing. The police were not immediately notified because, according to Deborah Fesmire, her friends believed she had been picked up by a family member who was to drive her to a family reunion scheduled for the July 4th weekend in Rangeley.
The family member was unable to pick up Christiana and could not reach her by phone.
Deborah Fesmire first heard of her daughter’s disappearance early July 11 upon returning home from work. She last saw her daughter less than two weeks prior, when Christiana spent two nights at her family’s Bremen home. Christiana’s father, Chester Fesmire, drove her back to Lewiston early Thursday afternoon, June 30.
According to Deborah Fesmire, Christiana gave no indication of trouble and was looking forward to the family reunion, which she ultimately missed.
Christiana, Deborah Fesmire noted, would normally be open with her family if she were in trouble. “She would come home if she were in a bad relationship,” said Fesmire.
Detective Scot Bradeen and the Lewiston Police Department are spearheading the search for Christiana Fesmire. Her family has also enlisted the help of Chester Fesmire’s cousin Beth Sheppard and psychics from psychiccrimefighter.com, though they are adamant that they are relying on the police to ultimately find their daughter.
“We’re not counting on psychics. It’s up to the police and detectives,” said Deborah Fesmire.
She said that the police had agreed to accept psychic help in their investigation.
Detective Bradeen could not be reached for comment as of press time.
According to the missing person’s report, Christiana is described as approximately five feet, five inches with a slim, athletic build. She has dark hair and blue eyes, with turntable and peacock feather tattoos on her right shoulder blade and right calf respectively.
Fesmire, a former student of Lincoln Academy and Coastal Christian School, was pursuing a career in modeling before her disappearance and had a professional page at modelmayhem.com
Anyone with information regarding Christiana Fesmire’s disappearance is asked to call Det. Bradeen of the Lewiston Police Department at 207-513-3001 ext. 3309 or local police.
