Susan M. French Murray of South China, and James A. Seigars Jr. of Wiscasset were joined in marriage Sept. 22, on the shore of Three Mile Pond in South China.
The bride is the daughter of the late Elizabeth (May) French and the late Carroll W. French Sr. of Waldoboro.
The groom is the son of Mary (Boudin) and James A. Seigars Sr. of Wiscasset.
As the sound of bagpipes echoed across the pond, the two long-time friends, exchanged vows in a small, double ring ceremony surrounded by their families. Their good friend Christina Wallace of Bath performed the ceremony.
Standing up with the bride her was long time friend Lori Follet of Phippsburg, and son Joshua Seigars of Wiscasset was the groom’s best man. Good friend and neighbor Mark Kmen of South China played the bagpipes as the bride was presented to her groom escorted by her two sons, Richard Murray Jr. of Westport and Harlan Creamer Jr. of Bath. Three flower girls and two ring bearers, all grandchildren of the bride and groom completed the wedding party.
The newlyweds headed to New York for their honeymoon by motorcycle enjoying the sights and meeting new friends along the way.
