Lincoln County Sheriff Todd Brackett was honored last week at the joint conference of the Maine Sheriffs Association (MSA) and the Maine Chiefs of Police Association (MCPA) held in South Portland.
Brackett was awarded the MSA Presidential Citation Award, which is given each year to “someone who has made significant contributions to the Maine Sheriffs Association. Someone whose contributions and hard work go above and beyond the call of duty.”
The award was presented by MSA Immediate Past President Sheriff James Madore of the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office. In presenting the award, Madore cited among other things Brackett’s work with the Maine Board of Corrections on the Jail Consolidation project, his many hours supporting and promoting the MSA and his efforts on recruiting and supporting the newly hired MSA executive director.
Brackett was praised for his leadership in “rejuvenating” the Association and adopting the new MSA tagline of “One Team, One Mission.” Brackett was commended for representing the MSA at the state level while maintaining his full-time job and responsibilities as the Sheriff of Lincoln County.
Brackett is the current serving President of the MSA.
