Snowfall will get heavier and winds higher during the overnight hours on Friday as the most recent storm chugs out of Lincoln County by mid-morning on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
There were no power outages in Lincoln County at the time of this posting, however that may change as winds increase overnight. No major incidents have been reported during this storm, at the time of this posting.
While the precipitation mix made for treacherous driving, reports of traffic incidents were low, perhaps meaning that residents were staying home. Area schools closed early.
Total snowfall accumulation from this event is forecast at 8 to 14 inches, and a Winter Storm Warning is in effect through 10 a.m. Saturday, according to the NWS.
Lincoln County residents may want to take advantage of the clearing skies Saturday afternoon and sunny skies on Sunday, as forecasters are calling for another snow event on Monday.
