The South Bristol Board of Selectmen plans to schedule a special town meeting for late November or December to vote on amendments to the town’s shellfish ordinance.
The amendments include a provision that would allow anyone to purchase a one-day educational license for $2 and legally harvest up to one peck of clams for personal use.
Individuals could purchase an educational license up to five times per year.
The other two changes concern an attendance requirement for South Bristol Shellfish Committee members and residency rules.
