Officials at MSAD/RSU 40 have cancelled classes at all schools Friday because of the storm. The district includes the towns of Friendship, Union, Waldoboro, Warren and Washington.
The superintendent’s office said they are sending students home early because the high winds have knocked out electricity service in the area. K-6 students were released at 10:30 a.m., and students in grades 7-12 will be sent home at noon.
