The bridge which connects Southport Island to the Boothbay peninsula will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic for bridge maintenance from the hours of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. from May 28 to June 28, according to a Department of Transportation press release.
The traffic will only be restricted during weekdays, excluding holidays, according to the release.
The swing bridge will open to marine traffic on signal at 6 p.m., 8 p.m., 10 p.m., 2 a.m., and 6 a.m., according to the release.
