Over 1000 Lincoln County households were without power Wednesday morning following an overnight storm that brought high winds and heavy rainfall to the area, according to Central Maine Power (CMP).
The outages affected a total of 1088 customers in 14 towns, with Wiscasset suffering the highest number of outages at 719, according to CMP.
The National Weather Service (NWS) had issued a Wind Advisory Tuesday night in regard to the front that was forecast to bring southerly winds with a sustained velocity of 25 to 35 mph and gusts exceeding 50 mph, according to the NWS.
The heaviest rainfall and highest winds arrived in late night hours, according to the NWS advisory.
