Sections of Rt. 220 both north and south of Rt. 1 have been closed due to trees and wires that have blown down over the road. Members of the Waldoboro Fire Dept. are presently working the clear the roads.
The area of 1700 Washington Rd. (Rt. 220) near the Hoak Rd. and the area of 700 Friendship Rd. near the Koskela Rd. are both closed until further notice. Both incidents occurred within in minutes of each other as gusty winds pummeled the Waldoboro area at approximately 3:30 p.m.
