Boothbay Area High School was evacuated this morning due to a bomb threat to the school. At approximately 11 a.m., a student found a message on a bathroom wall saying a bomb would go off at 11:30 a.m.
According to The Lincoln County News reporter Joe Gelarden at the scene, “Students were evacuated to the ‘Y’ across the street. They also evacuated the elementary school, but those students have returned to the school.”
As of 3 p.m. Gelarden reported responders have cleared the scene without finding an explosive. Students have been released for the day Gelarden said.
