Waldoboro Police arrested a Texas man on Aug. 10 at around 4 p.m. with two felony warrants for sex crimes involving children.
Tracy Grogan, 49, was found living in a tent on the Rt. 220 end of the Old Augusta Road in Waldoboro after a local business owner called police to complain.
The business owner gave police the man’s name, and police discovered the outstanding warrants, said Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde.
The warrants are for indecency with a child by contact and indecency with a child by exposure, Labombarde said. The man will be extradited back to Texas soon, Labombarde said.
“It was a good arrest, and we’re glad to see him going back to Texas,” Labombarde said.
Labombarde, Detective Lance Mitchell and Officer Sean Kozer apprehended the man without incident, Labombarde said.
