The Waldoboro Police report the following activities from the previous week:
July 12, Officer Michel Dutil investigated an accident on the Ridge Road in Warren. Esther Lane, 40, of Warren, who was driving a 1992 Toyota, four door sedan, was traveling south when a deer ran across the road. Lane struck the deer causing $2000 damage to her vehicle. She was not injured.
July 13, Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated an accident at 4:55 p.m. Breanna York, 17, of Bremen, who was driving a 2003 Kia, four door sedan, was pulling out of a driveway onto the Winslow’s Mills Road. Dennis Reed, 60, of Jefferson, was driving a northbound 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck. York failed to see Reed. Reed struck York’s vehicle causing $5000 damage. York complained of pain in her entire body.
July 14, Officer Sean Kozer investigated an accident at Goodnow’s Variety on the Bremen Road at 3:30 p.m. Peter Leary, 44, of Waldoboro, who was driving a 2005 Chevrolet van, backed into a 1998 Ford, four door sedan operated by Ashley Orne, 23, of Bristol, causing $800 damage to the Ford and $250 to the Chevrolet. No injuries were reported.
July 14, Officer Sean Kozer summonsed Douglas Knowlton, 19, of Waldoboro for criminal mischief.
July 17, Officer Jason Warlick arrested Eric Sweeney, 22, of Waldoboro for operating under the influence.
July 18, Officer Michel Dutil summonsed Britt Crouss, 21, of Waldoboro for furnishing a place for minors to consume.
July 15, Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a report of harassing phone calls.
July 15, Officer Sean Kozer is investigating a report from the Big Apple of a $25.37 gas drive off.
July 15, Officer Sean Kozer investigated a report of harassment by a neighbor. Subject found and trespass and harassment orders were issued.
July 15, Officer Thomas Hoepner is investigating a report of harassment on Facebook.
July 16, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report of broken windows. No entry appears to have been made.
