Waldoboro police officers responded to 135 calls for service in this time period. Below are a few of the highlights.
July 31, Detective Jason Benefield summoned Arnold Kronecker, 31, of Waldoboro for protruding objects and trailers; #3 safety chains improperly attached.
Aug. 2, Officer Jeffery Fuller summoned Meghan Kennedy, 30, of Waldoboro, for operating after suspension.
Aug. 3, Officer Fuller summoned Andrew Williams, 22, of Waldoboro, for theft.
Aug. 3, Officer Fuller summoned Felichia Glidden, 19, of Washington for a violation of conditional release.
Aug. 5, Officer Joslyn summoned Kyle Pendleton, 25, of Alna for passing on the right.
July 29, Lee Bennett, 36, of Waldoboro, was operating a 1993 Honda motorcycle southbound on the Bremen Road around 4:30 p.m. when he made a right hand turn onto Ledges Circle Road. Bennett laid his motorcycle down due to road conditions. No injuries. Officer Andrew Santheson investigated.
July 31, While backing a 1983 Buick sedan out of a parking spot in the First National Bank parking lot Travis Waltz, 21, of Nobleboro struck the driver’s side front and back doors of parked, unoccupied 2000 Ford sedan belonging to Harley Mitchell, of Searsport, with the front bumper of Waltz’s vehicle. No injuries. Detective Jason Benefield investigated.
Aug. 1, Jessica Jameson, 33, of Warren, was stopped at the intersection of the Union and Old Augusta Roads, while driving a 1999 Chevrolet sedan. Jameson was on the Old Augusta Road, on the east side of the Union Road and was waiting to turn left. As Peter Gunnlaugsson, 43, of Jacksonville, Fla. was driving a 2013 Chevrolet sedan through the intersection, Jameson pulled into the intersection too soon and struck Gunnlaugsson’s sedan. Aug. 1, Nicholas Baudanza, 22, of Owls Head, was operating a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck east on the Friendship Road when he went off the road into the ditch, striking a CMP pole. According to the police report, Baudanza looked down and may have dozed off before the accident. No injuries. Officer Thomas Hoepner investigated.
Aug. 2, While attempting to cross Main Street, at the Main Street/Bremen Road intersection, Benjamin Fuller, 67, of Cushing, failed to yield the right of way to Justin Lanphier, 34, of Chelsea, causing Lanphier to collide his 2006 Pontiac sedan into Fuller’s 2000 Honda sedan. Aug. 2, Faith Whitsit, 24, of Waldoboro, failed to see Jaredt Solly, 34, of Tallahassee, Fla., stopped behind her in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot and backed her 2005 Nissan sedan up, striking Solly’s 2013 Ford sedan. No injuries. Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated.
Aug. 1, Chief William Labombarde investigated an illegal dumping complaint from the Coastal Christian School. Subject was found and made arrangements to get it cleaned up.
