Augusta police said they recovered a gun in a bus stop snow bank today they believe is linked to a shooting that sent a Whitefield man to the Kennebec County Jail.
Samuel D. Caison, 27, of Whitefield is being held in lieu of $500,000 surety or $200,000 cash bond. He appeared in a Kennebec County court today(Feb. 5).
The shooting victim, Kevin J. Moran, 20, of Augusta was treated and released from Maine General Hospital. Police said he suffered a small caliber wound in the hip during the Wednesday shooting.
Police did not release a motive for the shooting.
