Southport Memorial Library Aides will present Broadway actor Will Rhys in “A Christmas Carol” at Southport Town Hall on Sunday, December 9 at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Rhys has adapted the Dickens to create a one-man staging in which he brings each character to life, capturing their nuances and delivering a full range of emotion. Of Rhys’s recent performance in Freeport one reviewer noted, “His rendition is a lively version that embodies the story’s magical message.”
This family-friendly holiday event is free, although donations to the Aides will be gratefully accepted. Due to limited seating, early arrival is suggested. Doors will open at 1:30. Refreshments will be served at intermission. For more information call 633-2741.
