The annual Bristol Area Library Book Sale will begin with a preview evening reception from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 28. Tickets are available at the library, on Route 130 in Pemaquid Falls, for $10 each. They will also be available at the door the evening of the preview. Sweet and savory refreshments will be served. Ticket holders will have first choice of the many thousands of items for sale in a less-crowded setting.
The regular hours for the book sale will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, July 29 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 30. Saturday is Bag Day: members of the public are invited to come fill a bag with books for $5 to enjoy reading on sultry summer days at the beach and on cold winter evenings by the fire.
