The weekly fiddle jam affectionately known as the DamJam by regular attendees has a new location. The musical gathering is now held on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 pm at Morris Farm, Rt. 27, Wiscasset.
Instruments played by the core group have included (but are not limited to) fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, whistle/flute, bass, and keyboard. The jam is intermediate/advanced level, but players at all levels are welcome to come, listen, learn, and join in as they feel comfortable. The repertoire includes traditional New England contradance music as well as traditional tunes from Ireland, Scotland, Maritime Canada, and Quebec.
