Join Sarah Becker, RN, BSN, Community Herbalist for a lesson on locating and positively identifying Sambuscus nigra spp. canadensis-the common Elderberry. Learn how and when to harvest its beautiful black berries and to create a powerful immune-boosting syrup used to prevent or lessen the length and severity of common colds and viruses and to keep your immunity strong. Class size is kept small and everyone will take home their own delicious jar of elderberry syrup!
This interactive workshop is held in our brand-new Learning Center and is taught by Sarah Becker. Sarah Becker is a registered nurse and a community herbalist who lives in Bath, Maine. She spends much of her time locally foraging, wild harvesting and creating wild foods and medicines from the beautiful woods and waters of the area. She can otherwise be found paddling, surfing, skiing and hiking with her two sons and dog or continuing her plant medicine studies with fellow herbalists.
