Donald Duncan will reprise last summer’s talk on the use, storage and harvesting of ice in the 1800s and early 1900s when thousands of tons of ice were cut on Maine’s ponds and rivers. The crop was shipped worldwide from Boothbay to Singapore. We have a good collection of the tools used and a short video of the process of cutting and storing ice. Limited to 15 participants, call the museum, 207 633 1102, to register.
