An old ad in a Pittsburgh publication touted J. E. McCurda’s general store in South Jefferson. J. E. McCurda’s great-grandaughter, Arlene McCurda Cole, will talk about McCurda family history in a program titled “McCurda and South Jefferson History” at the Jefferson Historical Society’s meeting Sunday, May 21 at 1 p.m. at the Jefferson Fire and Rescue building.
