The Jefferson Historical Society will have its annual Open House and Exhibit Day with exhibits of photos, documents and items gleaned from Jefferson’s past. A feature will be Jefferson schools and its students. A second feature will be vintage photos showing the many buildings on what is Routes 126 and 206 which go through the Village area. Many other items of interest will be on display and visitors will be able to tour the three floors of the 1869-built building recently restored by the Society. Weather permitting Ralph Bond’s grandfather’s 1800’s horse-drawn hearse will be exhibited and lunches available from Sully’s Hotdog and Brot Cart. There may even be some animals in the Old Jefferson Cattlepound nearby. FMI: 549-5258 or 549-5592
