Join our weekly lunch and learn program on Wednesday, June 8 at 11:15am. In recognition of Elder Abuse Awareness Day (June 15, 2016) following the luncheon Patricia Aho, State Office Representative for U.S. Senator Susan M. Collins will discuss Senator Collins’ Work in Assisting and Helping to Safeguard our Older Americans. As the Chairman of the Senate Aging Committee, Senator Collins has focused on three major priorities: investing in biomedical research targeting diseases that disproportionately affect older Americans, such as Alzheimer’s and diabetes; protecting seniors against financial exploitation and scams and improving retirement security. Luncheon Reservations are required. Please call 563-1363 by noon on Monday, June 6 to make your luncheon reservation (beef stroganoff). For those over 60 years of age the suggested donation is $5.00 per person. For all other community members Coastal’s lunch and learn program is an affordable dining choice at $6.00 per person. Can’t make it to lunch? Community members are always welcome to attend the Center’s Wednesday Learn portion of the day’s Lunch and Learn program, which will begin at noon. Come to Patricia’s presentation and learn more about what Senator Collins and the Aging Committee are doing to help protect the well-being of older Americans.
