Jennifer Armstrong has spent her life writing, singing and making music with fiddle, bagpipe, banjo and words. She is a storyteller, singer, poet and instrumentalist with humor, warmth and grace. She works as an artist-in-residence in folk arts, storytelling and writing as well as a private teacher and a performer across the country.
Jennifer was a featured teller at the National Storytelling Festival in 1998, has been heard on NPR and has over a dozen recordings of music to her credit. This summer she is bringing her Moon Cakes program to the library in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first man on the moon! A moon themed Books Alive program, it features Jennifer and her delightful offering of songs, stories, bagpipe, fiddle, banjo, dancing puppet and participation! Books dance off the shelves and include; Owl Moon, Moon Cakes, I Took the Moon for A Walk, Good-night Moon, and I See the Moon.
