Join the Midcoast Conservancy and the Waldoboro Community Garden Club for a day of hands-on learning about native plants at Waldoboro Village Park!
Author, entomologist and ecologist, John Hayden will give a talk on Native Plants and Pollinators at 10:00 AM, followed by a talk on Native and Edible Landscaping by Midcoast Conservancy’s Stewardship Director, Isobel Curtis at 11:00 AM.
We will end by planting a demonstration pollinator patch and garden along the river bank at 12:00 PM with native plants generously donated by the Waldoboro Community Garden Club and Twin Oak Forest Farm. Native plants will also be for sale so you can enhance your home habitat.
Open to all ages. This event is free to attend, but registration using the following link is appreciated.

Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy by the beautiful Medomak River afterwards.
Parking is available behind the American Legion Building and throughout downtown Waldoboro.
The event will take place in a large field along the river with a gentle hill and soft, uneven terrain. Please wear appropriate footwear and remember to wear protection from biting insects and ticks.
