The Volunteer-Growers’ Weigh-Off will measure your giant pumpkin for a shot at the amateur title!
Drop off from 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. with Volunteer-Growers Weigh-off starting promptly at 10:00 a.m.
An official Damariscotta Pumpkinfest™ Weigh-Off Entry Form must accompany each pumpkin.
In addition, each pumpkin must be accompanied by a Grower Information Sheet in order to provide interesting background & growing details.
$2,500 in total purse is awarded to volunteer growers. Volunteer growers are invited to donate their pumpkins for display downtown, for use as a regatta pumpkinboat, as hurling/dropping/catapulting ammunition, or in the kid’s activities throughout the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta™. Pumpkins of all sizes and shapes, from jack-be-littles, through 10# “ammo”, all the way to 700# boats, are needed to ensure tons of fun at Pumpkinfest!
