Sara Schaff will be reading from her story collection Say Something Nice About Me, a 2017 Next Generation Indie Book Award Finalist for short fiction and a CLMP Firecracker Award Finalist in fiction. Her stories and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in Michigan Quarterly Review, Literary Hub, Southern Humanities Review, Chicago Quarterly Review, and elsewhere. She has taught at the University of Michigan, Oberlin College, and in China, Colombia, and Northern Ireland, where she also studied storytelling. She currently teaches creative writing at St. Lawrence University.
Benjamin Landry will be reading primarily from his latest poetry collection, Burn Lyrics, which incorporates the fragments of Sappho. He is also the author of Particle and Wave, structured on the periodic table of elements, and An Ocean Away. He received an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award for his work, which has appeared in venues such as American Poetry Review, Kenyon Review and The New Yorker. He will be teaching creative writing at SUNY-Potsdam in the forthcoming academic year.
