Veterans will gather at Chase Point Assisted Living, 51 Schooner St., Damariscotta from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3 for coffee, camaraderie, and to watch an informative DVD, “Nazi Attack on America.”
This hour-long Nova program appeared on MPBN in July and is a historic record of a German U-166 submarine sinking the liner United States at New Orleans. Also featured in the film is the discovery of a sunken U-166, of significance to Navy veterans and citizens alike.
