Community Housing Improvement Project Inc. will host a yard sale on Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the lawn of the St. Andrew’s Parish House, located at 16 Glidden St., Newcastle. Under the leadership of Ruth Piper, this sale has been organized after Louis Doe Home Center generously donated a large portion of its hardware stock to clear out space within the building. CHIP will be selling that hardware at discounted prices. Along with the hardware, there will be many other things for sale, such as household items, books, sports equipment, furniture, toys, and games.
One hundred percent of the sale’s proceeds will be used towards CHIP’s mission of keeping Lincoln County residents safe, warm, and dry. CHIP works in Lincoln County to help those in need with heating assistance along with doing home repairs, such as fixing roofs, replacing windows and doors, and completing other weatherization projects.
