Damariscotta and Newcastle businesses are continuing the new effort called “Downtown After Dinner,” an informal coalition of store owners agreeing to stay open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays.
Attic Heirlooms will offer a special discount during these extended hours as well as a demonstration on rug hooking and punch-needle crafts. Weather permitting, the demos will be outside. Next door at Aboca Beads will be a demonstration of craft using beads.
Extended dining hours will be provided by S. Fernald’s Country Store and Joe Lane Lobsterman, keeping their kitchens open until 8 p.m.
Gifts at 136 will offer chocolate sampling from Safe Harbor Confections. Renys will also be open until 8 p.m., offering the usual amazing deals and selection.
“Downtown After Dinner” will continue in many Damariscotta and Newcastle stores until 8 p.m. on Thursdays through at least August.
