The Lincoln County Historical Association’s 65th annual observance of Memorial Day will begin at 11 a.m. at Pownalborough Court House. The observance will include reenactors and ceremonies at the cemetery courthouse and flagpole.
Parade participants will line up at Lincoln County Publishing Co., 116 Mills Road, Newcastle, at 10 a.m. The parade will start at 11 a.m.
Parade participants will line up at the municipal building, 1600 Atlantic Highway, at 8 a.m. The parade will start at 9 a.m., when it will cross Route 1 to Jefferson Street, turn right on Main Street, and proceed to the monument at Pine Street.
A program will take place in the town house, above the town office, at 10 a.m., with a video of the 1994 program and refreshments.
