Le Barn in Jefferson will be transformed into a Roaring ‘20s-style speakeasy, hosting a fun, elegant evening of dancing and jazz music at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 to raise funds for the Whitefield Library’s programming.
Attendees should find their best 1920s regalia and come on out and swing to the fabulous music of the Bone & Ivory Quartet, with Bess Jacques (piano/voice), Bill Manning (drums), Jim Lyden (upright bass), and Barney Balch (trombone).
Tickets are $35 each for those 21 and older only and include an appetizer buffet plus two complimentary drinks of bubbles, beer, wine, or soft drinks, music, and dancing. They can be purchased at the Whitefield Library, at 1 Arlington Lane in Whitefield, or online at whitefieldlibrary.org.
Until Wednesday, May 13, save money by purchasing a table for six people and only pay for five tickets.
