A Waldoboro motorcyclist was taken to LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta after an accident on Waldoboro Road (Route 32) in Bremen the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 7.
Thomas Glaude, 57, was injured in the accident, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Detective Jared Mitkus. No information was available about the extent or nature of his injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
Mitkus said Glaude was operating the motorcycle south on Route 32 when it came into contact with a pickup truck traveling north. Ethan Fink, 44, of Bristol, was driving the truck.
The detective said the motorcycle has highway pegs and may have been too close to the centerline, causing the pegs to come into contact with a tire of the truck, which caused the collision.
The motorcycle came to rest off to the side of the northbound lane.
Mitkus said the motorcyclist did not have a passenger.
Lincoln County Communications paged out Bremen Fire and First Responders around 2:15 p.m.
Joining Bremen emergency responders at the scene were units from the Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service, Waldoboro Emergency Medical Services, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, and the Waldoboro Police Department.
