Annabell Kippenberger (Fenton), 97, of Dresden, passed away at home on Sept. 14.
She was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on Dec. 17, 1911, the daughter of George Fenton and Laura (Crosby) Fenton. She was one of 11 children.
Annabell immigrated to the United States in 1935 at 24 years of age. She was a resident of Dedham, Mass., and Franklin, Mass. before moving to Dresden. She was a resident of Massachusetts for over 50 years.
She loved knitting, crafts and travel. She was a member of the Odd Fellows/Rebekahs in Milford, Mass., and the Franklin/Medway Grange in Franklin, Mass. for over 50 years. She held all positions in both organizations including President and Grand Matriarch. Anna was an active member of the Methodist Church and taught Sunday School for over 30 years in Franklin, Mass.
She was an avid traveler and visited her children often. She was traveling up until a few weeks before her death.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Kippenberger.
Surviving are her children, Clark Kippenberger of Dresden, Ruth Morrison of Longwood, Fla., and Gail Conway of Lorain, Ohio; brother, Carl Fenton of Calgary, British Columbia; grandchildren, Nancy Johnson of Longwood, Fla., and Bruce Patterson of Longwood, Fla.; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
A private burial was attended by her immediate family.
Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond.
