Barbara R. Hupper, 83, of New Harbor, died Dec. 24 following a long illness, at Wiscasset Green in Wiscasset.
Born in Hanover, N.H., Nov. 23, 1928, she was the daughter of James A. and Helen S. Tilley Shaw. She was a graduate of Portsmouth High School in 1946.
For more than 25 years she lived in Rye, N.H., and in 1962 moved to New Harbor. For many years, she worked at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.
She was predeceased by sons, Stephen Matott in 1973 and Corey Hupper in 1988.
Mrs. Hupper is survived by son, Michael Matott of New Harbor; daughters, Amber Shaw, and Pam Schaffer; grandsons, David and Matthew all of Bradenton, Fla.; as well as her brother Roger A. Shaw of New Harbor.
