Beverly Dawn Waterman, 78, passed away Oct. 15 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.
She was born in Waterville, Dec. 20, 1927, a daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Cookson) MacCarn.
She graduated in the Class of 1945 from Malverne High School in Malverne, N.Y., where she became the secretary to an investment company executive on Wall Street, N.Y.
Beverly was a beloved Pastor’s wife for 50 years. She was the pianist and Sunday school teacher for several Baptist churches. She was also well known for her hospitality, great cooking, sense of humor, sewing and her knack for creating beautiful crafts.
She will be remembered for her generosity and giving of her time to collect for the American Cancer Society and other charitable organizations.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Lois Mitchell, of Wilbraham, Mass.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Reverend Leonard P. Waterman, of Waldoboro; daughters, Laura Lockhart of Manchester, Conn., Margaret Kuehl of Senlis, France, and Ruth Beck of Waldoboro; son, Timothy Waterman of Pyote, Tex.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Laurel Weindorf of Lynbrook, N.Y.
Visiting hours 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Wed., Oct. 18 at Hall Funeral Home, Waldoboro.
Celebration of Beverly’s life 1 p.m., Thurs., Oct. 19 at Hall Funeral Home with her son-in-law, Mr. Dan Beck, officiating.
