Blake S. Hall, 67, of Bristol, passed away at the LincolnHealth – Miles Campus on the evening of April 19. Born on May 8, 1947 in Eastport, he was the son of Richard and Flora (Grant) Hall.
All his life, Blake was a people person. He was a kind man, who genuinely liked getting to know people. He would share stories with anyone who was interested, and enjoyed learning about their lives.
He worked in South Bristol for several years before going to work at the Bristol Transfer Station. He was an incredibly hard worker, and although people sometimes told him to slow down, he never did. That hard work continued to his home where he kept his yard immaculate.
Other than people, his second true love was music. He enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, but could usually be found listening to good old Rock ‘n’ Roll. He had many records and shared this love with his good friends. He also really enjoyed being out on the open water.
He is survived by his sister, Gail F. Moore of Bath; nieces, Carolyn A. Mattern of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., and Carla Nichols of Jefferson; and special friends, Kurt Geib of Bristol, Robin Mahan of Pemaquid, and Robert Ball of Round Pond.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4-5 p.m., Tues., April 28 at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home with a time to share stories of Blake at 4:30. He will be laid to rest privately at the Chamberlain Cemetery in Round Pond.
