Carl McCloy, 81, of Walpole, formerly of Pennsboro, W.Va., departed this life on Oct. 28 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Carl was born May 14, 1934 in Pennsboro, W.Va., a son of the late Ira and Roxie (Freeland) McCloy. Carl worked as a glass blower for 25 years at the former Pennsboro Glass Company and later worked as a heavy equipment operator for 25 additional years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Nickloa McCloy Valentine; son, Steve McCloy; infant brother; and an infant sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dinah (Burns) McCloy; children, Randy McCloy (Kim) of Ellenboro, W.Va., and Chris McCloy (Ginger) of Bristol; daughter-in-law, Melanie Vogt-McCloy of Pennsboro, W.Va.; grandchildren, Derrick McCloy of Doddridge County, W.Va,; Nickola McCloy of Boston, Mass., Grace McCloy of Yarmouth, Mass., Jocelyn McCloy of Pennsboro, W.Va., and Tatem McCloy of Pennsboro, W.Va.; and great-grandson, Steven McCloy of Doddridge County, W.Va.
Graveside services for Carl took place Nov. 1 at the Mount Harmony Masonic Cemetery in Pennsboro, W.Va.
