Carole Ann Bodmer, 76, of Westport Island, passed away on the afternoon of June 19 at MaineGeneral in Augusta. Born in Natick, Mass. on June 15, 1940, she was the daughter of Frank Allen Wambolt and Rubye Elsie Jaeger of Franklin, Mass. She was a graduate of Franklin High School.
On top of being a homemaker, she was a licensed beautician and also worked for the Town of Wiscasset School System for nearly 18 years.
She met the love of her life, Jerry Bodmer and together they raised three sons, Gerald Allen of Vienna, Va., Mark Edward of Topsham, and Daniel Joseph of North Whitefield. Carole and Jerry were married for 51 years.
Additionally, she is survived by brothers Joseph Wambolt and Ross Wambolt of California; and grandchildren Jacob, Sawyer, Wyatt and Mackoy of Vienna, Va., Connor and Isabelle of Whitefield, and Kathleen and Max of Topsham.
Visiting hours will be held 4-6 p.m., Thurs., June 23 at the David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath. At the family’s request, there will be no funeral service.
