Craig Alan “Buddy” Winchenbach, Jr., 20, died July 12 while vacationing in Alaska with his girlfriend, Kristen Moody, and her family of Warren.
He was born April 27, 1986 in Damariscotta, a son of Craig and Tammi J. Winchenbach, Sr.
He graduated from Medomak Valley High School in 2005. He worked as a sternman on a lobster boat with Sam Lash of Friendship.
He loved helping his dad do carpentry work. His hobbies included fishing, four wheeling, fixing up his truck, being with his girlfriend and dog, Sugar, and spending time with his big family.
Surviving are his parents of Waldoboro; five siblings, Christie McBrayer and husband Eddie of Massachusetts, Tiffany Milne and husband James of Waldoboro, Nicole Winchenbach and significant other Anthony Lash of Waldoboro, Kayla Winchenbach and significant other Jacob Boggs of Waldoboro, and Little Man, Daniel Winchenbach of Waldoboro; grandparents, Harold and Patricia Chapman of Waldoboro, Francis Shrout of Warren, and Keith Winchenbach of Florida; great-grandmother, Grace Delano; niece, Kulani McBrayer; nephews, Kaydin McBrayer of Massachusetts, Tenzin Milne of Waldoboro and one more on the way in September; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Tues., July 18 at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. Celebration of Craig’s life 2 p.m., Wed., July 19 at Hall Funeral Home.
