Dana A. Chapman, 67, of Waldoboro, passed away at her home on June 7. Dana was born Aug. 19, 1948 in San Diego, Cal., daughter of Homer D. Sherrod and Jessie M. Toler. She attended local schools in the San Diego, Cal. area.
Dana owned and operated the Waldoboro Smoke Shop. She wrote religious poems, liked to sing and dance and greatly enjoyed family functions with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was also a notary public and Protestant minister.
Dana is survived by her husband, George R. Chapman Sr. of Waldoboro; son, Paul Baxter of Missouri; daughter, Patrice Blair of Colorado; stepdaughter, Tina Chapman and boyfriend Matt Woods of Waldoboro; stepson, George Chapman Jr. and wife Bonnie of Cheyenne, Wyo., granddaughter, Breckyn Nason and boyfriend Brad Turner of Waldoboro; great-granddaughter, Aleazia Nason of Waldoboro; granddaughter, Miranda Stockbridge and husband Shane of Warren; great-granddaughters, Emma Jean Nason and Malerie Ann Stockbridge of Warren; and grandson, Shane Woods of Waldoboro.
A memorial service will be held at a later date when George gets out of the hospital.
