Mr. David Scott Trank, 53, died on Aug. 24.
He was born in Newcastle on Aug. 7, 1954, to Albert and Ada (Wilson) Trank.
He married Jocelyn Shaw on Aug. 14, 1982, in North Smithfield, R.I.
Mr. Trank graduated from Lincoln Academy in 1972 and received his Bachelors and Masters from the University of Maine. He had been employed as a chemical engineer at Sappi for 35 years, most recently as chief engineer.
He was a member of St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, National Society of Professional Engineers, Michigan Society of Professional Engineers-Muskegon Chapter, Muskegon Yacht Club, North Muskegon Band Parents, and was a teacher in the math department at Muskegon Community College.
He is survived by his wife, Jocelyn; son, Zachary Trank; daughter, Megan Trank; sisters, Diane (Tom) Bishop of Kansas and Denice (Paul) Millander of North Carolina; brother, Donald Trank of Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ethan, and parents, Albert and Ada Trank.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9, Tues., Aug. 28 at Clock Life Story Funeral Home in Muskegon, Mich.
Service 11 a.m., Wed., Aug 29 at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church in Muskegon, Mich., with Fr. David Brower officiating.
Memorial at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church or March of Dimes, Muskegon, Mich.
